Delivery Options and Costs

• Standard Delivery: Using a flatbed truck for sites with lifting equipment (e.g., forklifts or cranes). Costs range from £100–£400, depending on location and container size (8ft to 40ft). Ideal for ports or industrial sites.
• Hiab Crane Delivery: For empty containers, delivered and offloaded using a Hiab crane-equipped vehicle. Suitable for residential or restricted sites. Costs range from £150–£450.
• Sidelifter Delivery: For loaded export containers that need to be lifted and left on-site before later pickup. Costs start at £200–£500, depending on site access.
• Special Delivery: For challenging sites (e.g., low bridges, soft ground, or tight access), we arrange custom solutions. Contact us for a tailored quote.

Site Requirements:  

• 8ft/10ft Containers: Minimum 15ft site width for offloading.  
• 20ft/40ft Containers: Minimum 24ft site width.  
• Provide details of access restrictions (e.g., overhead obstructions) when requesting a quote for a free site assessment.

Delivery Timelines

• Standard UK Delivery: 3–7 business days from order confirmation, depending on location and stock availability.  
• Express Delivery: Available for urgent needs (1–3 business days) at an additional cost. Email admin@containersolutionspro.com for availability.  
• Ex-Depot Collection: Pick up your container directly from our UK depots within 14 days of purchase. You’ll need a skeletal frame container trailer or flatbed truck. Depots enforce strict health and safety rules, so confirm vehicle suitability in advance.

Export Shipping

For containers destined for international export:

• CSC Plating: All export containers are CSC-plated for compliance with global shipping standards.
• VAT Zero-Rating: Containers for direct export within 3 months of supply may qualify for zero-rated VAT, provided you supply evidence of export (e.g., Bill of Lading) within 3 months.
• Indirect Export: If your overseas customer arranges collection, we require a written undertaking that the container will be exported, with records maintained.

Return Policy for Shipping Containers UK

At Container Solutions Pro, we prioritize customer satisfaction. If your container doesn’t meet your expectations, our return policy ensures a straightforward process, subject to the conditions below.

Eligibility for Returns

• Timeframe: Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery, provided the container is unused, unaltered, and in its original condition (e.g., no modifications, damage, or wear).
• Eligible Containers: New (one-trip), used, or refurbished containers purchased or hired from Container Solutions Pro. Custom-converted containers (e.g., offices, pop-up shops) are non-returnable unless defective.  
• Defective Containers: If your container arrives damaged or not wind and watertight, notify us within 7 days of delivery for a replacement, repair, or refund.

Return Process

• Contact Us: Email admin@containersolutionspro.com to initiate a return. Provide your order number and reason for return.  
• Inspection: We’ll arrange an inspection to confirm the container’s condition.  
• Return Shipping: You’re responsible for return shipping costs unless the container is defective. Costs start at £100–£400, depending on size and location. We can arrange pickup or you may return to our depot.  
• Refund: Refunds are processed within 14 business days of receiving the container, issued to your original payment method. Hire fees are non-refundable but may be credited toward future rentals.

Note: Containers must be free of personal items, modifications, or debris. Container Solutions Pro reserves the right to refuse returns if conditions are not met.

VAT Relief and Returned Goods Relief

• VAT Relief for Exports: Containers exported within 3 months of supply may qualify for zero-rated VAT. You must provide official or commercial evidence of export (e.g., shipping documents) within 3 months.
• Returned Goods Relief: If you re-import a container previously exported from the UK, you may claim relief from Customs Duty and VAT, provided the container is unaltered and re-imported by the same entity that exported it. Records, such as the original export declaration, must be maintained for 4 years.
• Reusable Packaging: Containers used as reusable packaging (e.g., for repeated import/export) may qualify for simplified declarations under Returned Goods Relief or Temporary Admission, reducing import duties.

Additional Policies

• Cancellations: Orders can be canceled before delivery with a full refund, minus a £50 admin fee. No cancellations are accepted after delivery unless eligible for return.  
• Warranty: All containers come with a 12-month wind and watertight warranty. Defective containers are repaired or replaced at no cost.
• Planning Permissions: Containers for temporary use (e.g., short-term storage) typically don’t require planning permission, but permanent structures or those in sensitive areas (e.g., National Parks) may. Check with your local council.
• Deposit Return Scheme (DRS): As of October 2027, single-use drinks containers (e.g., PET plastic, aluminum cans) will incur a refundable deposit under the UK’s DRS. This does not currently apply to shipping containers but may affect businesses storing such goods.
